White Rabbit Truck Gets Famous

There are so many elements involved in creating a business, but when one of the most pertinent foundations is the element of philanthropy and the other is delicious Filipino fusion food, a divine idea has been established.

White Rabbit Filipino Fusion Truck premiered in July 2010 with the idea of pleasing Southern California folks with a mobile Filipino restaurant with the twist of other tasty cultures, while aiming at giving back to less fortunate.

Their marketing skills have gained them excellent exposure, the food truck field gaining popularity has rushed their drive and their strong fan base increases their desire to cook for a cause.

In August, White Rabbit was nominated into the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race contest and with a grand prize of $50,000, the team made a commitment to donate all their winnings to the less fortunate folks in the Philippines if they got the most votes.

Unfortunately, the young food truck did not beat out an Oklahoma City taco truck founded by two former fine dining chefs, but they still plan to market their way to the show-and the Philippines-for a donation in the near future.

Some of their promotion ideas include a DJ spinning next to their truck, the Rabbit vs. Man/Woman challenge where they dare fans to devour a 6 lb. burrito for a chance to win a special staff-only t-shirt and a photo on their website wall of fame and they offer free food for fans who wear their White Rabbit t-shirts to any truck stop.

If these ideas sound good, wait until you try the food. They offer chicken adobo, pork sisig, beefsteak and pork tocino meats available in tacos, burritos, rice bowls, quesadillas and carne fries.  They also have sides of rice, lumpia, fries and fried egg and desserts of white chocolate champorado and crème brule toast.

The menu might change from time to time, with a fusion of Spanish flavors now, but it might be French in the future, so make sure you follow the truck until it stops at one of their daily Los Angeles and Orange County visits coming up.
